Scientific Advisory Board

The Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), unique to each of the A*STAR Research Institutes, comprise of members that will provide guidance to the institute on the identification of research programmes and activities that can achieve both the institute and national goals. Besides offering advice on the research directions and strategies to spearhead crossdisciplinary research, the SAB will also help the institute broaden international networks and overseas alliances.

The SAB will review the technology roadmap and make recommendations for collaboration with both academia and industry. In that way, the institute can strengthen its dual role as both a research institute and in the case of IHPC, as a high-performance computing resource centre.

The SAB will also make an assessment of the institute’s scientific activities and offer directions for recruitment of key staff to boost the institute’s research profile and the organization of research to ensure alignment with the best practices adopted by similar research institutions in the world.
