Young Scientists
- Powering Discoveries!
HPC Quest 2009 concluded on 4th September at Fusionopolis with 8 short-listed teams from various junior colleges and IP schools giving a final presentation about their chosen topic. Students were tasked to think creatively and scientifically in order to solve problems using techniques and applications of high performance computing.
There were 4 topics available for students to choose 1 in this programmming-based competition. Spanning a period of about 10 weeks, students had to attend a half-day workshop to familiarise themselves with MPI and parallisation programming. IHPC research mentors were also on-hand to guide and advise the students throughout the duration of the competition.
Congratulations to all the winners of HPC Quest 2009!
